Eco seeds are Open Pollinate or Non Hybrid seed with no chemical coatings and GE

Open pollinated means you can save seed from your own plants and expect it to
grow “true to type” - provided it hasn’t cross-pollinated.  Unlike the hybrid varieties popular today- seed from hybrids will not grow true to type - you have to buy new seed each year.

Roma tomato is a plum tomato widely used around the world for canning and producing tomato paste because of its slender and meaty nature. It is also known Italian plum tomatoes.   Roma tomatoes are a warm-weather crop with a growing season limited by frost and cold. They can be grown in containers, pots and garden beds.

Plant them in a full sun location with frequent watering. They need to be in a place where excess water drains away easily.  They do well in raised beds. If you’re growing multiple plants, space them about 2 feet apart.  Stake or cage.

Seed packets contain sowing and growing information & indicates companion plants and crop rotation guidelines.

Supplied by an Organic Farm NZ Certified. We source and support NZ & Certified Organic seed growers.
