Dis-ease loves an acid enviornment and struggles to survive in an alkaline one.If you are feeling toxic or showing signs of over-acidity there are steps you can take to alkalise and it is best to do this gradually to avoid a healing crisis.

A slightly alkaline bloodstream is needed for proper body function.  Over acidity creates many forms of disease.  The cure is to put alkaline deposits in the body's vaults, which are the bloodstream, organs, tissues and bones.  Alkaline depsits are gradually built up by eating alkaline forming foods.

A basic rule of thumb to follow to achive and maintain pH balance is to eat 80% alkaine forming foods and drinks and 20% acid-forming foods and drinks each day.  If a pH test indicates that your body is too acidic, you should eat more alkaline-forming foods and omit acid-forming foods from your diet.  

• The kidneys function is to excrete excess acidity.  When the urine smells of ammonia, this could be an indication of acidity
• As you alkalise, acid is released and you could experience temporary worsening of symptoms.  This could be headaches, sore stomach, skin breakout, cold or flu like symptoms etc.  These usually clear within a week if you continue to eat enough alkaline forming foods, drink raw vegetable juices and consume plenty of water to assist elimination
• The lungs breathe out carbon dioxide which is also acid release and deep relaxed breathing alkalises the body
• Exercise has a strong effect on the pH of blood.
